Plan
Dectivate the CAPS LOCK (or change the keyboard mapping)
To do that, we will use the Scancode Mapper of Windows 2000 / XP :
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
; Rémi Peyronnet
;
; This code comes from : http://www.annoyances.org/exec/forum/winxp/r1017256194
; Information about the Scancode Mapper can be found at :
; http://www.microsoft.com/hwdev/tech/input/w2kscan-map.asp
; Scancodes can be found at : http://www.microsoft.com/hwdev/tech/input/Scancode.asp
;
; The format of this field is :
;
; 00000000 header version (zero)
; 00000000 header flags (zero)
; 00000002 number of entries (including terminator)
; 003A002A map caps lock (0x3A) to left shift (0x2A)
; 00000000 null terminator map
;
; Note : the data are in little endian notation
; so when the microsoft documentation says the third number is the number of entries
; you have to enter 02 00 00 00, and not 00 00 00 02 (ie 'aa bb cc dd' is stored 'dd cc bb aa')
;
; Here are usefull scancodes :
; 3A : Caps Lock
; 2A : Left Shift
; 1D : Left Ctrl
; 36 : Right Shift
; 0E : Backspace
; 0F : Tab
; 1C : Enter
; 38 : Left Alt
; 39 : Space Bar
; E0 38 : Right Alt
; E0 1D : Right Ctrl
; E0 1C : Numeric Enter
; 53 : Numeric .
; 01 : ESC
; 46 : Scroll Lock
; E0 5B : Left Win
; E0 5C : Right win
; E0 5D : Application
; E0 5E : ACPI Power
; E0 5F : ACPI Sleep
; E0 63 : ACPI Wake
;
